The Roseate Spoonbill. It was our bucket list bird to see once we moved to Louisiana. Monica was able to go last week and see them, I was not able to go until today: Rip’s Rookery. What a wonderful photography location for a wildlife photography.
We arrived early in the morning and I have to say, I was completely stunned and amazed with the amount of Roseate Spoonbills present, not to mention the variety of birds altogether. Spoonbills, Anhingas, Snowy Egrets, Cattle Egrets, and Cormorants to name a few.
We walked around the two ponds there and snapped off so many pictures. Flying Spoonbills, wading Spoonbills, jumping, walking, eating, sleeping…thus the title of today’s blog: A Spoonfull of Spoonbills! We have so many great photos of so many different bird species, I can’t wait to share them with you all.
I hope you liked these rosy beauties as much as we did, and if so, please press the “Like” button below. If you haven’t done it already, be sure to press the “Follow” button, and you won’t miss any of the wonderful photos to come.
As always, from my camera to yours, “Enjoy Our Wonderful World!”
Beautiful birds – beautiful photos.
