These are some of the other pictures we took from our last trip to Rip’s Rookery of those “Spectacular Spoonbills.” They are simply some of the most beautiful birds that we have been fortunate enough to photograph and enjoy seeing in person.
I only wish you could hear them call back and forth, with there deep grunting like sound. Here is a link to a page that plays the sounds:
https://www.bird-sounds.net/roseate-spoonbill/ . It is a short audio clip, but if you can only imagine up to 20 or 30 all making these sounds all at the same time…it was amazing.
There’s not much else to say about these lovely birds that I haven’t already said, except that once again I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do. If so, be sure to let me know. Leave me a comment or two, press the “Like” button, and if you haven’t already, be sure to press the “Follow” button.
The next bird on our bucket list is the American Purple Gallinule. Another beautiful bird that we can’t wait to immortalize with our camera. We’re located in Baton Rouge, so if anyone knows where they might be found, please let us know.
From my camera to yours, “Enjoy Our Wonderful World!”
